Understanding Regenerative Medicine
Regenerative medicine focuses on supporting the body’s natural repair processes using advanced medical approaches. Understanding how it works — and its limits — is the first step in deciding whether it belongs in your care plan.
What It Is
Depending on the patient and condition, options may include platelet-rich plasma, orthobiologics, stem cell-related therapies, shockwave therapy, and other non-surgical treatment strategies. These approaches are designed to help support healing and function rather than replace a thorough medical evaluation.
Not every patient is a candidate, and results vary, which is why evaluation and physician guidance matter. Our conversations focus on what the current evidence suggests and what a realistic outcome may look like for you.
Who May Be a Candidate
Patients with ongoing joint, tendon, or soft tissue discomfort who have tried conservative measures, and whose health history and imaging support consideration of regenerative options.
Who May Not Be
Some conditions, stages of joint degeneration, or health factors make regenerative care an unsuitable choice. In those cases we discuss other paths, including surgical evaluation when appropriate.
Evaluation
Common Reasons Patients Explore Regenerative Care
TrueArc Health evaluates each patient individually to determine whether regenerative or non-surgical care options may be appropriate.
The Process
What Getting Started Looks Like
Step 1
Consultation
We begin by learning about your symptoms, goals, health history, and what you have already tried.
Step 2
Medical Review
Dr. Gardner and the care team review whether regenerative or non-surgical care options may be appropriate for you.
Step 3
Personalized Plan
If you are a candidate, we outline a thoughtful treatment plan, explain expectations, and discuss next steps clearly.
